Members of the Southern California Chapter of the American Bamboo Society (ABS SoCal) are invited to spend a day at the San Diego Zoo. Admission will be free to members of ABS SoCal but there are limited spaces. We have done this event at least twice in the past and it is enormously popular. In addition to all of the wonderful species of animals the Zoo has a world class collection of plants including bamboos of course!

The plan is to meet at the giant statue of the lion in the front between 9 - 9:30 am and then enter as a group. Kids are free admission to the Zoo during the month of October. Figure on an hour tour of the bamboos led by one of us of ABS SoCal with the rest of the day as you prefer.
